In the case you guys did not know, the above title means:
National University of Singapore
School of Computing
Freshmen Orientation Week' 09
It was rather a long Orientation as it was as long as 7 days! The good thing was we are only required to stay in for the first and the last day. I also quite surprised to find that Russell and I are actually on the same Orientation Group (OG). It was really long and tiring Orientation. But still, we had lots of fun. Haha. I don't really know how to begin to describe and how to end if I write everything down in this entry...

Day 1: Introduction
Russell and I reached LT15 and joined our OG. Only a few people came, and after asking names of our group members, we all just sat there silently and waited for the activities to start. The first expected activity is of course "Ice Breaker". But remembering names proved to be a difficult game for our group. Haha. So we played other games instead of continuing "Ice Breaking". After the introductory games, I finally spoke to a familiar face whom I have seen him way back during my Orion BMT Days. He is not in my platoon, but both of us just seen each other before. Shaun Wong and Gerald should know him. Yup, his name is Ying Cong.
Anyway, next was lunch. We were assigned to the nearest canteen in FASS. After that, we went back to the lecture room and waited for the next activity to start. The whole afternoon we would be playing Group Interactive Games. However, when moving to each station, each team required to have one cheer, and it is something I don't really like. Undeniably, that is also one element in an Orientation Camp that could not be removed. It can really boost up one's team atmosphere. That is what I have realised only after the last day.
The afternoon games allowed us to have some interactions with our group members, which was not too bad so far. Then, after dinner in the Engineering Canteen, we were brought down to the basement in SoC and were briefed on the Night Group Interactive Games. Yes, more interactions. After everything was over, it was around midnight. The girls and one guy in our group went off as some of them have their rooms in PGP. While my GL Indra brought us to PGP too to have our shower, and we guys had some chat in his room. We walked back to our assigned sleeping area, but some of us were very hungry, so we ordered Roti Prata while the others could go to sleep. The ones who ordered the Pratas (Including Russell and I) waited for one hour plus!!! By the time, we were already fainted due to serious starvation... Just kidding, we slept while waiting. But we still woke up to finish our food and by then was already 4am...
Day 2: Wet Interactive Games
One guy went MIA...
I woke up 8am. Only 4 hours... But still feeling ok. We went to have breakfast outside LT15 which was only bread and butter... Next, we got the fight a battle! The NUS Legendary CORS Battle!!! However, Russell and I had not really decided on what modules to take, so we took it easy for that day.
For the afternoon activites, we had to walked to West Coast Park! Yes, walk!!! Ok, don't have to be shocked as it only takes your 10 minutes if you are going there by foot, and it's seriously near. We are having another round of games, but this time you will see sands and water bombs at all stations!!! Prepared to get wet!!!
Ok, after everything, I'm not really that wet as most of the Freshmen aimed the water bombs at the Gamemasters... We went back to the school and we could be dismissed and had our rest on weekends. Only Russell, Edwin and I stayed and waited for our OGL and GLs to have dinner together, but their debriefing went on too long... And we waited till 9pm plus to have our dinner at Subway...
