Review: ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:序

I went down to The Cathay today to watch this movie. The translated title of this movie is, Evangelion The New Movie: Prologue. I believed most of the anime fans have already watched the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. That's right, this movie is actually a summary of events that happened in the whole 26 episodes. However, since it is impossible to cram everything into a movie, the producer has split the story into 4 movies. Moreover, an alternate ending will be presented in the last movie.

The titles of the first 3 movies are as followed:
ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:序 - Evangelion 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone
ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:破 - Evangelion 2.0 Divison
ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:急

This first part of this tetralogy first depicted the first 6 episodes of the anime. The story started with Ikari Shinji entered NERV to pilot Evangelion Unit 01 and to fight off the first 3 Angels. As the story develops, he also learnt that there was another pilot that came before him, Ayanami Rei, the pilot of Evangelion Unit 00. Both of them work together to fight of the third Angel that looked like a floating diamond called, Ramiel.

Those who have watched the original anime would also like to try watching this movie, as it is animated by the new 3D CG technology and there are many new scenes and backgrounds. The feeling of watching it would definitely be different from what you have watched in the TV series. Those who love this anime will definitely fall back in love after watching this movie. The next movie will be out in Japan this year. So stay tuned!

Down at The Cathay...

Today, I left the camp later than usual after my duty. I'm supposed to wait for Ah Bao to finish his job, but it appeared that a freaking defect occurred at the wrong time. In the end, we left him there to rectify the problem after waited him for one hour... Then, Me, David Seah, Ah Goh and Han Wei took Eric's car out of the camp and had breakfast together and it was already 10am at that time.

Right after our meal, I took a cab with David and Han Wei back home. When I reached home, it was already 12noon. I was too tired to rush for my appointment at 1pm, so I just took my own sweet time to unpack my bag and to take a bath. By the time, I reached Plaza Singapura was around 1.30pm (Sorry Guys!).

After we have purchased our movie tickets, we decided to settle down at Billy Bombers in The Cathay for our lunch. We had another round of endless chat about our life as if we have not meet for each other for a very long time. Look's like Potato is facing a lot more problems than we do. Just have to be strong! You can do it! As for Kai Yan, he seems to have a good life. Haha. Good Luck for him! Then, the 4 of us headed to the cinema for our movie: Evangelion 1.0. I know the movie was actually a summary of the anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Actually, I have been hearing this anime for quite a long time but was so busy with other new anime. Since now, I have a chance to watch it, Why not? It is a pity that Alvin Koh couldn't watch with us. It was a nice movie.

Tired...

It will be another busy month in April... With less breaks and more duties...
Can someone pull me out of this terrible life!!! Argh...!!!

Bleach and Naruto Shippuuden are taking a break this week... AGAIN. I could understand that the reason why for Bleach since it is catching up with the manga. However, I don't see why Naruto Shippuuden like to pause its broadcast so often. In every episode of shippuuden, showing their facial expressions now and then seems to be the way to lengthen the episode. It is just way too boring and tiring to watch every episode like this. Considering the fact that the anime is still far behind from manga, I think it could progress in the similar way as Bleach does. I hope to watch Naruto Shippuuden just like how I enjoyed watching Naruto.

The next coming episode of Naruto Shippuuden, there will be a change of opening theme, which is entitled, ブルーバード sung by いきものがかり (Blue Bird by Ikimono-gakari). That's right, if you can remember, it is the band that has once sung Bleach Ending, called HANABI. As for the ending song, it is called 素直な虹 (Sunao na Niji) by surface. Moreover, watch out for the next episode of Bleach for the most anticipated battle between Ichigo and Grimmjow Jeagerjaques!!!

Review: 秒速5センチメートル

This afternoon, I came across this 1 hour movie from animenewsnetwork and decided to watch it. The movie is entitled 秒速5センチメートル (Byousoku 5 centimeters), which means 5 centimeters Per Second. The story revolves around 3 characters, Tohno Takaki, Shinohara Akari and Sumita Kanae. Also, the movie was divided into 3 parts: 桜花抄 (Okasho), コスモナウト (Cosmonaut) and 秒速5センチメートル (Byousoku 5 centimeters).

The story portrayed the life of Tohno Takaki, from a kid to a teenager, and finally, to an adult. He had a very close friend, Akari, they walked together to school and played together everyday. However, they were forced to leave each other when Akari's parents were moving away due to their jobs. From then on, they kept in contact by sending each other letters. As time passes by, the sending of letters became less frequent and eventually stopped.

Sumita Kanae came into the story during Takaki's high school days. It was love at first sight, when Kanae met Takaki. She was always trying to find ways to get close to him. However, she realised that she was unable to connect his heart no matter what she do, as Takaki always look as if he already had someone in his mind...

The movie ended quite abruptly, I think. Did he met Akari at the crossroad?
A penny for thoughts...

By the way, the movie theme song is "One more time, one more chance"; quite a nice song that fits perfectly into the movie. To my fellow anime fans out there, you should go check out the movie.

Something New

This is the first time I tried something new. Just trying to spend time on internet other than watching anime and checking out games!

Right now, I'm still in National Service, and counting down to ORD! Now, with 9 months left, hope time can pass really fast, even though I keep hearing people saying that time will DEFINITELY pass faster than you think.

Anyway, yesterday I went to a camp for IMT.... Late. Fortunately, we are not scolded or made to sign anything extra.... Just had a round of shooting and that's it! I met Alvin there, and along with Chung Kit and Alvin's L, we took a free ride from a chief to Yishun MRT. From there, we parted with Chung Kit and Al's L, then Alvin and I decided to explore Northpoint.

At that time was only 10.10am, and none of the shops were opened yet. Moreover, the shopping mall is incredibly small (Smaller than Eastpoint), we walked one round around the mall and that took us 15 minutes.... After that, we decided to have our brunch (Breakfast + Lunch) at MacDonalds and had a really good chat.

Guess what? We headed home after that. Haha. We both took 39 from Yishun Bus Interchange and played our respective game consoles onboard. Then, we bidded each other goodbyes as soon as the bus reached his destination.
