Just yesterday, I just discovered a startling truth...
I have already know quite a number of students in Kumon since I have been working there from April. I know there is one student named Keira, she left an impression on me as she did very well for her reading during the time when she first approached me. It was around June (I believed) when she first approached me. Since then, I only took her for 3 times.
Until yesterday, Teacher Lawrine brought her to me again to check on her reading. When she was reading to me, I saw someone familiar standing outside the centre, and Teacher Lawrine told me he is Keira's father... But that someone I saw was MAJ Alvin Chiam!!! The CO of RSS Fearless!!! Keira's father is MAJ Alvin?! I took Keira's folder and checked the surname again... Yes, it wrote "Keira Chiam"...
MAJ Alvin stepped in and said "Hi" to me. He did recognised me. As we both exchanged looks, Teacher Lawrine was so puzzled as to why we know each other. Her first reaction was "Is he your friend?" Haha. For me, I was puzzled that of all the Kumon branches around Singapore, why Bedok? As the word crossed my mind, I remembered MAJ Alvin lives at Bedok... Haha.
