Yesterday, I had my first KTV session in Party World at Orchard. I went out with Ken and Kar Hao. Not bad actually, the tibits and fruits served are better than K B**, but I'm not sure whether it is free flow... The system is also quite cute as they have sound effects like Clapping and Cheering! And there is one thing I must really praised is that they have J-Pop KTV! There are quite a number of J-Pop Hits in the system, but of course is not up to date as compared to Mandarin Pop Songs. I was so excited, and I sang my J-Pop Idol, Namie Amuro's Say the Word, and Do As Infinity's Fukai Mori and BoA's Every Heart. It was my first time singing J-Pop in the KTV! But singing those songs was the last part of our KTV session, there is another 10 minutes before our time is over, then the whole screen just went blank, indicating that our time's up... Cheating our 10 minutes... That is the bad part of Party World. If it is K B**, they would allow you to sing more even though your time is up, provided there is no one queuing for a room.
It was a rather short 4 hours singing session... After that, I had to rush to an appointment, a dinner with Larry and Yang in... Clementi. It was Larry's birthday yesterday. I was planning to buy a present for Larry when the dinner plan detail was confirmed, and I can have more time to pick a present if the dinner was to be cancelled and I can give it to him on Monday. =p However, the plan was only confirmed when I had already singing in the KTV... At that time, I knew giving him a present was impossible because I will be meeting him without a present, and giving him on Monday proved that I'm insincere... Sigh...
Anyway, I went to Clementi straight empty-handed to meet up with Yang who is driving us to the destination. The place was a HDB area, but when we turned into one corner, we found some amazing discovery! There are pub and restaurants under a HDB flat! The decorations can be compared to those seen Boat Quay and Clarke Quay! Or even better! You can never imagine that place is actually a HDB area! We having a Steamboat Buffet there, along with Wai Keong and Andy, the 6 of us sat down together and had a full and yummy dinner.
Just this afternoon, I met up with Ming Jie at Tampines Mall, intending to buy presents for people who have already celebrated their birthdays... Haha. I suggested that those gifts to be considered as gifts of gratitude instead of birthday presents, that way it will not be insincere... Haha.
