It can be said that it is my first time taking RT under the new system: 3 months prior to your birthday is set to clear your 20 sessions of RT and IPPT. Because of the short amount of time given to clear your RT, the time now becomes flexible such that there is no need to attend the lesson at the issued timings. You could just go register which day you want to attend as long as two sessions do not fall on consecutive days. Hence, it would also means that you would see the regular faces less when you attend each session. Yes, and the RT has definitely changed a lot since the last one I had.
My first day I picked the usual Bedok FCC. It was bloody time wasting experience. I spent like freaking 1 hour to wait for the training to start, and it took around 30mins of waiting time in between each break. When I was really sian, I suddenly saw Guancheng, my JC schoolmate. We were happy to find ourselves a buddy, but we did not talk much. But it was better in the sense that we could still do some chatting when we were bored. The first session took a total of 2 hours, from 6.40pm to 8.40pm.
My second session I registered under Maju FCC since is damn near NUS and I would probably be spending my time there for quite long these days. The waiting time was rather ok, and I really like how they are focused and minimized the unnecessary waiting time. However, I still think they are rather slack since they cut down 2-3 sets of different exercises to merely 1-1.5 sets and restricts the session duration to only 1.5hours. After the session, I could still have time to go back to school and continue mugging! But seriously, the training was rather slack. You can really get more serious training in Bedok though. Is either you want slack and end-early training, but serious but time-consuming training.
On my fifth session, I saw one familiar figure appeared in Bedok FCC. He's none other than Hui Yong, my RT buddy 2 years ago! I totally did not expect I would see him again. It was really good to see him doing fine even though he had gone through the same RT cycle for the 2 years when I was not around. He had a few friends to talk to, and he finally ditched his friends and approached to chat with me. I found it rather surprising that we could chat quite a lot despite not having see each other for two years. To be honest, I did not really think that we are close enough to chat in that level. That's why I was really shocked myself that I could chat with this buddy. Also, to think that the venue that we meet each other again was at the same camp just awed me. But that should be the only session I get to see him since his birthday is just a few weeks time.
The RT sessions for me just continued. Really hope I could just pass by the 8th session and get the hell out of there.
