Working as "Undercover"

It's been around 3 weeks since Singapore Arts Festival ended. But why it felt like something that ended long time ago...?

Anyway, after resting for 2 weeks since the Singapore Arts Festival, my aunt offered me a job at the company she's currently working for. She said they needed temp urgently to rush to produce machines for their clients on time. And hence, of course, you are expected to work overtime. Well, who cares, the main point is that you will be paid wonderfully.

However, my aunt has a special condition for me, and especially to me. Simply to put it because we are closely related, and it is a fact that people gossip everywhere. And thus, I have to put an act in front of everybody and denied our relation as relatives. Moreover, I have another aunt working there too! So I have to avoid behaving so closely to my other aunt! This is so-called a measure to let people gossip in front of me.

Instead of my mother's sister, I will refer my aunt as my friend's mother. And of course, that "friend" is my cousin!

The department that I will be working is about assembling small metal parts into one huge machine. There is a sudden influx of orders from their customers, and so the company is looking for temps to help out.

So far, I have been working for one full week overtime. Overtime means weekdays till late night, and normal working hours for Saturday and Sunday. It may sound tough, but it's good money! Although it means I have more time with the colleagues. no one really talk to me, so I hope this lie can continue further till school reopens.
