The day has finally came. Hui Yong and I fixed a time earlier than usual for the Final Re-test IPPT. We reached at 5.15pm. At that time, the "Famous Running Uncle" and his friend (Finally, known their names - Eric and Benedict) were already there. I had a stupid nervous feeling which made me went to the loo first. Hui Yong went to register first. Hence, we got into different groups.
But when I went to register, I was surprised to see there were no long queue at all! Look's like the Bedok Camp finally revised their queuing system. And now the Sit-up queue was even shorter than the Standing Board Jump queue!
And as usual, I went ahead with Pull-up first. The first 4 was as usual as well. And the 5th was a bit of struggle. And the fateful 6th... I got stuck the halfway... and finally I overcame and I passed that station! Many people from my RT batch were happy for me. The feeling was just weird, and I can't really explain why...
Hui Yong ran 2.4km first and went home as quickly as possible. It was such a pity, it was the last session, and did not have a lot of time with to chat with him. But at least he said to meet up for running some time before he left. He also added to me that he don't want to see me next year. So was that a form of encouragement?
After he left, I was considered the youngest within our group. Alan came as pretty late as usual. But we still have to go on to the 2.4km run. However, I was worried that I could not run as good as the trial run since I still have not recovered from fatigue. I felt a huge resistance on my thighs as I ran for my 2nd round. Surprisingly, I ran faster than the trial run! As such, I passed the whole IPPT.
After my run, the whole of us was chatting all the way. We also chatted at the bus stop and even inside the Bedok Food Centre. So weird, we didn't talk a lot during the training sessions, but we tried to chat as much as we could at the last session. We also finally exchanged our contacts after the session.
It's a shame since we finally got to chat a lot. But now, it is confirmed that I would not see them again next year. But I could not guarantee the next following year...
