Rush, Rush, Rush!
I was rushing home from work for lunch, so that I have some time for my stomach to digest the food before the horrible IPPT commenced... My brother said I should not work before IPPT so that my body could have a complete rest before the test. But well, I still did not heed his advice. An hour after the lunch, I went straight to the camp.
I met Ming Jie outside the Bedok FCC guardhouse and we went in together. The place was not too horrible. I thought it will be a freaking dirty and rundown place. Turned out, the place is a bit better than expected. A bit.
We went to changed and I saw David Tng, who seemed to be alone...
After that, we looked for the queue to register under as taking IPPT. I remembered my brother told me there are 2 registration counters: One for IPPT, the other is for Remedial Training (RT). When we reached there, I saw 2 long queues, and I thought the lines represented each of the sections. In fact, those queues were for RT, and the IPPT counter is behind those long queues. We need to walk past the RT queues to get to the IPPT Registration Counter... That explains why so many obese people are seen in those long queues...
Coincidentally, I saw one very familiar guy sitting in the waiting corner. Yup, one of my new friends in Uni. I went over to Shaun first and he actually said that he booked it quite last minute. He came to clock one attempt before the hectic school semester starts and before his birthday which falls on March, which is also during the school term. Then, Ming Jie, David, Shaun and I all seated together, awkwardly. One is my Navy Friend, one is my Secondary School Friend, and one is my University Friend... I was hesitating whether to introduce each other or not, because that moment should be the first and the last time they would ever meet again. Haha. But still, should make some introduction...
Briefing ended, and we can start from any stations we wanted. The usual practice for us, is to start sit-up. I thought I could get that easy A. However, the sit-up machine failed me, because it hanged halfway when I was doing it!!! Damn it!!! Wasted my momentum... And I did quite a few times more than 40 in the end, but the stupid machine only recorded 38!!! +&@#$!*%
The next few stations I did up to my expectations. I expected all my standard to drop somewhere since I have not been jumping or sprinting... So SBJ, 216cm and Shuttle Run 10.0s. My worst nightmare, pull-up, got me 4 reps. Darn. As for 2.4km Run, I have been jogging leisurely, so I also expected the standard to drop. In the end, 12.15min. Just 5 more seconds and I will fail the run! Phew. Shaun did pretty well for his static station, but failed because of the run. So close... So, everyone still failed. Haha.
Coincidentally again, when I was exiting the guardhouse, I saw my Secondary School Form Teacher, Mr Albert Neo! He was jogging outside the camp, and I never knew he is living around that area, and the way he jogs is so cute! =x
