Snow Slide!

This is the end of the Fourth Week of December 09.

The replies were not very well, but still there were 4 of us came out for this outing. This was my first outing with 2 acquaintances, Gui Xin and Yan Shan. Gui Xian planned this outing as a parting outing for Huiyi who is leaving to Shanghai for her internship. It was a Snow City Outing.

I have never been to Snow City before. I'm sure many of my friends never been there too. I did not know that the place is just next to Science Centre. But why I always have the impression that it is situated beside the Great World City... Anyway, I met the girls at Jurong East MRT and walked towards our destination.

The queue for Snow City was horrendous. There were so many people crowding at the entrance! Families made up the most number of groups of people there. After we got our tickets, which comes with the Science Centre Tour Package, we got 1 hour to tour the Science Centre. It's been so long since I last visited the place, and there are some changes here and there, but time only allowed us to visit 2 parts of the centre. We went back to the Snow City and began to pick our jackets.

Once we entered the ice container, I saw a mini playground in the first compartment, and then the giant slide in the next. And... That's it. The Snow City is "that" big. My first impression is like, " so we spending $16 bucks for a Snow Slide...". Can't help it because our main event is not the Science Centre but Snow City... At the top of the slide, you could see a long queue down to the foot of the slide. So Huiyi and I queued 3 times for the slide, while the other 2 queued one more than us.

Huiyi and I went first to get our stuff and had a little chat while waiting for the others. The slide was fun, but it is just not worth the money, and plus the "snow" is not any similar than those real snow I have seen in Shandong. Frankly speaking, it is more like sand... No wonder, there is no Snow City Entry Ticket. The admin included the Science Centre Entry Package to make it more worth money. Against all odds, I'm still happy to see how the girls enjoyed the outing.
