I was late again for an outing. I reached at 2.10pm while I said to meet at 2pm. In fact, I was silly enough to walk to Simei naturally just to take the train to Pasir Ris... I only realised my silliness when I was halfway on the road. Walking to Tampines MRT Station would be faster...
I thought everybody else was late when I reached there since I did not see anyone in sight. I took a slow stroll around the mall. When I was about to call Russell at Level 3, I saw Russell standing outside ZoneX at Level 4. Shaun was late. However, that poor guy had not eaten his meal at all. Hence, after a short arcade session, we went to the Food Court for a bite while waiting for Edwin, who was rushing from NUS after his project.
The 4 of us, once again, were hunting for Edwin's roller blade. We went to the only hope in E!Hub. Finally, he bought a pair of FILA blades, which the owner of the shop claimed that he had cut down $100 for him. Then again, we were out for another roller blading session, but the stall we patronised previously was quite far away from E!Hub, so we went to the rental shop at Costa Sands. Unfortunately, the rental price is far too steep. With my word of strong objection, everyone had to listen to command and walk back to the previous rental shop. I know it is hard for Shaun, but this all worth it to save that amount of money...
This time, we only put on the palm guard, no knee and elbow guards. When we finally put on the blades, I felt Russell's regret almost immediately because he felt that the shoes he gotten was too small for him, and Shaun had some great fall at the start. Throughout the 2 hours, Edwin, Shaun and I also had our falls, thus having superficial cuts here and there. Russell only had a bump on his ass. Ouch. Russell still felt the discomfort, so he took off the blades and put on Edwin's slippers, while I took Russell's blades and rushed off with Shaun back to the Rental Shop before the time's up.
Luckily, there was still a bit of time left when Shaun and I reached the store, and so we skated around there to use up the time we had. Although this time was much more tiring, I still enjoyed it.
Next, Russell wanted to try the Mad Jack at White Sands for our dinner. However, we took too much time to decide when we were flipping through the menu, the place was filled with people in just minutes. We thought of waiting our seats, but when we looked at the working crew again, we thought of not patronising the place anymore... After much discussion, which was around 1 hour, we finally decided to eat Fish & Co... at Tampines. By the time we finally had our first bite of the dinner, it was already 8.40pm.
We also thought of catching movie, but there wasn't any movie to watch. Then we walked around Tampines One for Russell to check the arcade there, but it was closed... In fact, it was already 10pm, and all the shops were closed. Just like that, we all went home.
