Is it Wise to be Totally Ignorant?

These days during my school's recess week, I had been doing CS1105 project with my 2 Group Members. Most of the contents are produced from my other members, while I just have to concentrate on the project layout and to compile the slides for the presentation together.

The module CS1105 requires a lot of your critical thinking. Until now, I have not been making any progress to my brain. When a question from that module is dumped to me, I can't react immediately, and my brain always does one thing. Nothing. Nothing comes out of my mind in such a situation everytime. Even during the actual presentation, when there is always a part called Q&A, people will just ask you lots of questions and you will answer according to your finding or opinion. Luckily, very luckily, I have friends who can really react and answer those questions very well...

Talking about critical thinking, it would be best if you have a wide general knowledge of the world. In that way, you would probably avoid making silly assumptions and even some fallicies. Having general knowledge of the world would also help you in your daily conversation with your friends. This is good for the new friends you have made in University. When my projectmates and I were having break, we would probably chat about other stuff. Stuff like which major you are going into? And then, talked about more in today's computing industries. Those who know me very well would know that I couldn't really care about things that I'm not interested in such as business and politics. But, my projectmates could engage in conversation involving such things and I can't really find topic that I'm really familiar in. All I can do is do make lame and stupid comments.

I know critical thinking is a very important life skill. But can I have the skill without imparting any knowledge about things I don't like? Sounds impossible, but that is the way how it works... And I will just carry on being someone without Critical Thinking... Now the question is: Can I survive intelligently without having Critical Thinking?

practice makes perfect

so thinking more makes your critical thinking better

It can affect your thinking when you dont have any general knowledge of other stuff in the world. If I continue neglecting those stuff, my critical thinking is not critical anymore, because I may have comment on something stupid, not according to today's context...
