A Birthday Dinner followed by a Nice Stroll

Another round of Birthday Dinner was held! The Birthday Boy is Meng Yong whose Birthday is on the following Tuesday. He told me that he is free on Sunday, so I planned a dinner for him. It was another headache for me to think for another dining place... And worse, I cannot even think of anything to buy for him!!! I strongly believed that 21st Birthday should always come with a present for the Birthday Boy! But I'm really on wit's end, so I made the exception... But still, I feel very bad...

When thinking of somewhere special to dine in, I suddenly thought of the Burger Restaurant I saw back near Sasha's workplace. Thus, I SMSed everyone to meet at Raffles Place MRT. However, as the meeting day was getting nearer, all the guys kept asking me, "Where is the meeting venue?" or "Is it Raffles City or Raffles Place?". I was quite pissed off. Is there any MRT Station called "Raffles CITY Station"? Couldn't they keep my message in their inbox and later could refer to it, and not just delete it away and asked me again for the meeting info...

Anyway, I went out early alone to check out the restaurant again since I couldn't check any info about it on Far East Square Official Web. Fortunately, I made that move. It was because most restaurants in that area are closed on SUNDAYS!!! Instead of seeking Meng Yong's present, which was my original intention of coming out early, it became a desperate search for the next dining area. I walked from Raffles Place to Chinatown, then back to Raffles Place, and to Clarke Quay. Then, I remembered that the Shopping Mall in Clarke Quay has quite a number of nice restaurants. Therefore, I confirmed the place for our alterative.

After sending another mass messages to the people, I went on to shop for the Birthday Boy's present in Central. No luck. There was another 1.5 hours to spare before the meeting, so I tried venturing Liang Court. No Luck too. Moreover, I was too attracted to the Japanese Books in Kinokuniya, and almost spent all the time in there...

Ming Jie called when I was walking back to Central at 6pm, saying that he has reached the mall. I was quite shocked to see that he was early! 30 minutes early! We used the remaining 30 minutes to decide on the place to eat. Our final decision was Waruku's Mr Curry. Shortly after we had decided, Potato and Meng Yong have arrived at the same time. As for Kai Yan, we came 20 minutes after the stated meeting time. Quite rare to see him late for his appointment... We then stood there and talked about changes in physical appearances.

1. Ming Jie became bigger (again) and he wore contact lens.
2. Kai Yan got himself another new earring and had his hair cut and dyed.
3. Potato is trying to grow beard...
4. Meng Yong and I are the same, just that I have more messy hair...

Shaun also came shortly after we entered the restaurant. First time trying the food there. Not bad! Look's like I beginning to like Waraku more and more! Haha.

Supposedly, there was another guy who would be joining us late. And I expected him not to turn up in the end. And I was right again...

Potato suggested going Cafe Iguana for our next stop. We ordered 2 jugs of Magarita (Is that the correct spelling?). Meng Yong ordered himself a glass of beer. Potato and Kai Yan each ordered 2 shots... Haha, their faces turned red pretty fast! Ming Jie began his crazy behaviour after his first glass of Magarita... Damn Stupid... I tried to get some serious topic with him, but his drunk-behaviour totally pisssed me off... But I still believed that he was just to act. Potato also thought that he was going to drunk, so he bought himself H-TWO-O. And again, Meng Yong, Shaun and I were the ones who still looked normal.

Shaun and Meng Yong wanted to take a look at another bar called "Butter Factory". But we went one round to Liang Court and sat down at McDonalds for Potato and Ming Jie to rest. Then, we walked to Boat Quay then to Fullerton Hotel. Potato knew where is the place. It was situated in a place called Fullerton One, which is in between Esplanade and Fullerton Hotel. When we were finally there, it was closed.

Since we were so near to Esplanade, we walked back to City Hall instead to take the train. We walked through Esplanade, then through Marina Square and then finally Citylink Mall... It was quite a nice stroll though. It would be better if the weather was cooler, and we would not be so sticky...
