P21

Another dear friend of mine has turned 21 last Saturday. But his party was held on Sunday?! Haha. Yup. This is because he planned a 2 days party, and we are invited to go on the second day. I called Russell and Yi Sheng out afternoon on Sunday afternoon to get the present. Another last minute purchase...
I was thinking of getting some Chinese History or Literature Books for Pok Yen to have some references during his University Course. However, there are too many books in Page One Vivocity which made us confused, not sure what are the good books hidden on the shelves. We decided to venture for other kind of presents.

We walked and walked till we reached HarbourFront Centre, and went on shopping and suddenly had an idea of getting portable speakers for him. It could be useful for him, especially if he wished to stay in hostel. He could listen to music without having earphones stuck to his ears everytime.

We looked through Best Denki and Challenger and finally stumbled onto a speaker brand, XMini, which I heard people saying the music quality is very powerful and extremely worth it. And so, we bought it!

It was still early after we got his present, so Russell suggested playing arcade. We then had another round of ball throwing. I still have not fully recovered from the last throwing game... Thus, my left albow hurt even more now... We hanged out in the arcade for about an hour, then we made our way to the chalet, which is located in Aranda Club just beside Downtown East.

The name of the party is P21. Apparantly, Pok Yen used the idea of the different age limits for watching movies in Singapore, and he could now watch the rating for R21!!! Most of the guests there are from Pok Yen's beloved Drama Club. Haha. The first 50 guests could also participate in Pick and Win! There were 50 pieces of colored paper sticking on the wall and guests will pick one and can win either a Can Drink, Small Plushies or Snacks. So creative! The 3 of us played Big Two for a few rounds, and one round with Alvin before Wei Tian, Tze Keong and Eugene came. We all then went on eating and chatted.

Pok Yen also displayed his precious Photo Albums, the PRSS Times, JC Times, Drama Times, Shandong Times and MediaCorp Times. After we sang the Birthday Song for him, we stood and looked through the albums for around 20 minutes and still not our turn to take photos!!! Then, we learned that Pok Yen wanted to take individual pictures with each of his guests, and that's why we have to wait for so long. But, the albums are good things to keep us occupied! So many fond memories!!!

After eating the delicious cake, we chatted for a while and left the place. Haha, the host was too busy to entertain us. We can't be selfish and keep him to ourselves right?
