First Time at the Salon

Yesterday, I made my first step into a salon for my hair-cutting. I made this exception because I got the Kimage $20 discount voucher in the goodie bag from the last Flags and Flashes Nite. Ming Jie, therefore arranged a time to meet out, along with Jinqing. Gladly, he chose the outlet at Tampines Central.

When we finally found the outlet, which is located just opposite the Tampines Stadium, we are welcomed by the receptionist, who said that we have to come back 30 minutes later since all hairstylists were busy at that moment. Sad. And so, we went to Century Square Coffee Bean to have a drink. As we are chatting, Jinqing told us his trip to Japan, Korean, Indonesia and Vietnam during his sailing. He bought us each a pair of cute chopsticks from Japan. I was so envy that he could go to these places for free. But he also encountered many unhappiness when working with his crew. It is really the fact that there are ups and downs for whatever job to do. All I can say is that we have 6 weeks left! Must endure!

We walked back to Kimage after that, then we are served by 2 hairstylists. The one who served me really look like the 2nd Superstar Winner, Darren Tan! Haha. He first studied my old hairstyle and gave a lot of weird expressions, and I know he kept more of his expressions to himself when I looked at him on the mirror... He cut my sides first. When he reached the stage of cutting my fringe, which is expectionally straight and short, more like a bowl kind of hairline, he started to give his opinion. He asked who cut my hair previously. I could not say is me! The reason i cut the hair myself 1 week ago because my officer said my fringe and the sides are too long, but I think it is a waste of money just to cut them, so I foolishly cut them.

Since I could not say my name, I used "Army Barber" to lie and he gave the "no wonder" look. Haha. He then brought me to wash my hair, and his massaging skills are superb! I was so going to fall asleep after his massage! The last step was to blow my hair dry and done up by waxing my hair. It was so amazing. I finally had a hairstyle that I never had before! I was really satisfied, he could actually change my hairstyle even though my hair was short. Sadly, that outlet is closing down soon, and that crew is moving to the second outlet in Tampines which at 201D and it is even nearer to my house! Haha.
