Just this morning, I heard a news report that there will another increase of bus and train fares. This time, a tremendous increase of 3% will be incurred by this year October, and is said to be the highest increase implemented by the authority. Can Singaporeans really afford it?
This year, we have witnessed the rapid increase of prices everywhere in Singapore:
Food like a simple waffle with fillings can increase from $1.00 to $1.30.
A Lapis Sagu can increase from $0.55 to $0.80.
A loaf of bread can increase from $1.55 to $1.95.
Noodles can increase from $2.50 to $3.00.
A 5kg rice can increase from $6+ to $8+.
A manga can increase from $4.50 to $5.50.
Carpark fees can increase from $1+ to $3+ per hour.
Bus and train fares increasing.
Taxis are charging extra more on phone bookings and during peak hours.
Can Singaporeans really bear the high increase of prices?
Can we really find a $2 chicken rice or $2 noodles anymore?
Can a poor family like mine survive such CRISIS? Sigh...
