It was a wet Monday evening when I reached Bedok Camp as usual. It drizzled the whole morning and the afternoon on that day, so it is so-called not a very good day to exercise as almost everyone was cooled down and relaxed by the cool nice weather. But most of us still turned up. This time, Hui Yong decided to skip RT once more. But his friend turned up, so is the 2 of us that session. And finally, I got to ask his name - Alan.
After the usual warm-up, the first exercise was 20 min Endurance Run. I ran slowly initially and picked up as I gained momentum. As I picked up more speed, I spotted "The Famous Running Uncle" (An uncle in his 40s in our batch who enjoys running fast) was running at his usual fast pace. Not wanting him to catch up on me, I kept running faster than usual during training. But eventually, he caught up with me on the last minute and we ended the run together.
After a 10 min break, the next exercise that awaited us was running again!!! But the difference this time was Speed Running. We will have rest after running each round. I have the stamina to carry on, but my legs were giving up. Nevertheless, I tried to pass my limits. The 3rd round was the final round, so I sped all the way, and became the first! Haha, but that is not something to be proud since it was not a competition.
In between the Speed Running Breaks, Alan and I got to mingle with more people, mainly the group of people who are always with "The Famous Running Uncle". However, the sad thing was the mingling only occured within the camp premises. When the training over, and waiting for the bus outside, I recognised one of them. But we became instant strangers, and none of us went to greet each other.
There was also a small Chin-up Training Regime after the Speed Running. Finally, there was one chin-up training. Hui Yong has been wanting chin-up regime and he hopes to have that in every training. Finally, we had one training, but he chose to skip that session unknowingly...
With 3 More Trainings before the last IPPT Re-test. Would I pass it successfully...?
