I never had a buffet dinner with my family. Thanks to my brother's treat, we finally have this chance. We mentioned the Japanese Buffet in Suntec City, Kushinbo, which triggered my mum's interest. And so, we head down there on Last Thursday and went in at 5.40pm
It is the same Singaporean mentality when you first entered the restaurant - To grab as many plates as possible and never considered whether you can really finish them. The only special thing in the dinner buffet is the Free Flow of Japanese Snow Crabs! So 1 person is charged S$39.90++.
And of course, the crab was our "Main Course!!" I started with a bit of Salad, Fried Finger Food, Tempura, Sushi and Sashimi before chucking one whole plate of Snow Crabs. The crab was really juicy. You can really taste the Japanese Sea!!! The juice oozing out from the shell was salty, but since it was from the Japanese Sea, the salt wasn't bad enough to make you dehydrated.
After the crab feast, it was 8.30pm. By that time, I was already quite full. So I went to have some Chicken Ginseng Porridge and a few spoons of Japanese Fried Rice. My brother wanted to wait and rest before grabbing for desserts. However, I needed to go with the momentum. If I stopped eating, I might just give up later on. But anyway, my brother also couldn't wait for so long, so he went to take 2 full plates of cakes, chocolates, tarts and mochi; while I took 2 cups of Hokkaido Ice Cream. There was one Strawberry Fondue Fountain in the middle of the restaurant. Customers are free to dip the desserts in there. So while taking some food, I have already dipped some Marshmellow and ate them on the spot.
To our disappointment, the other desserts were not really tasty as it seemed. After clearing half a plate, we were reaching our limit and was pushing them to the max. Luckily my mum, who has rested for around 30 minutes, finished up when it left around 1/4 of a plate. I really thought I'm going to throw up when we finally exited the restaurant at 9.20pm. Haha. I think I really went all out to put on weight since I failed my IPPT on Wednesday again.
The next day we did not have any breakfast and just had a little bit of porridge for lunch. However, my brother just got stomach flu this morning. It seemed that the buffet had really upset and weakened his stomach, so virus could attack it. Poor Thing. Hope he recovers fast.
