On the Christmas Night, I was waiting for a Blur King at Tiong Bahru. Can't help it, he is attending his first wedding banquet without his parents. So, he doesn't know how much to put into his Ang Bao, whether to bring the invitation, stuff like that. When Ming Jie finally arrived, I led the way.
We are attending our Navy Chief Mark's Wedding in Grand Copthorne Waterfront. Yes, the place is just beside Zouk. And I really have no idea that place attracted so many Hooligans-looking people. Anyway, the hotel is like another High-Class Place, the reception area is freaking huge. I wonder how much money my Chief had put in just for this alone.
We saw familiar faces, but not many because the other half of the ship crew was sailing... When we went ahead and greeted them, they have all the same reaction, "Wah, hair so long!!!". And obviously, all of them can recognised me in just a look, but they need to study Ming Jie for a while before they can recognise. His change has been changing constantly ever since he left the service.
When we are seated, I looked across the officers' table and saw my CO, MAJ Alvin, he saw me and started pointing to me and talked to other officers. Then, Simon walked over and said about me teaching MAJ Alvin's daughter in Kumon... Oh well, expected. Haha.
Guofeng's Chief Chun Ming and Eric also came to ask about us and Guofeng. Then, I just said he is just a loner in school. And his chief became so worried about him instantly. But I didn't say that he did very well for his first semester... Ooops.
I was luckily enough to leave the whole banquet with only 2 glasses of beer. Phew, can't imagine myself having another 8 glasses. Chief Nigel was also happy to see us and it was the first time he ever said with so much feeling that he missed us working for him. Haha.
