It is already towards the end of July. And everything will start to change dramatically as most of us are starting our University Lives.
This would probably be the last meeting of CSC before the start of our University lives.
It was a chalet I organised that was without any anticipation or expectation that it would be a very fun time with my CSC guys. Normally, having a chalet, we must have some snacks, drinks, BBQ and alcohol, so before checking in, we would gather and get those items at the supermarket. I felt like going out early, so I headed to Pasir Ris White Sands first to have my lunch.
It was damn early when I got there, so after my lunch I went to the Arcade in the shopping mall and played for a while. After knowing Meng Yong would be late, I went to the supermarket and got all the necessary items. Done shopping, Meng Yong met up with me and he had his lunch at McDonalds. At that time, Potato and Jiun Yan called up and would meet up there.
At around 3pm, we slowly walked to the chalet. After settling down, we waited for another 30 minutes to wait for the BBQ food to come before the 4 four of us headed on to Wild Wild Wet. Just nice, when checking in, I have received 4 complimentary tickets to the either Escape or Wild Wild Wet! So the 4 of us went in without paying!!!
It was my second time going in there, so I kinda forget how is the place. One thing I forgot was how salty the water is... Probably because the place is having its maintainence every Tuesday, so the water could be considered as the most dirtiest on Mondays... We tried to play everything available. But when comes to the U-Hoop, Potato suddenly backed out, so I have to ride on it myself! Haha, damn exciting the very moment when you are being pushed down! You will have that kind of feeling that you would fall off from the tube! That moment was the very fun part! Too bad, Potato just could not appreciate that. We played till 6pm. Luckily, we did not pay for it, as after so many years, the place still remains the same, and seriously it is not worth the money. It would be better if it is just less than $5...
We went back to the chalet and started BBq-ing. We could not just wait for everyone to appear right? People started coming in at around 7pm. Alvin and Kai Yan reached first, then Wee Khiang, then Say Kang, then Darrell, then Ming Jie, and finally Shaun. Darrell and Ming Jie went to the wrong place! Haha, they did not know there are 2 Costa Sands in the same area. One is within Downtown East, and the other is just further in. The only difference is that you have to pay $1 Entrance fee for the one in Downtown East.
That was the only fun night we had. Unfortunately, Say Kang and Darrell left early. Almost throughout the BBQ session, Jiun Yan was the only one cooking the food, while I have to ensure the get together night was going well and everyone was having fun. So most of the time, I was just acting busy going up and down.
Haha, thanks to Meng Yong that we had this BBQ Session. When everyone done having BBQ food, we headed inside the room and played poker. And of course, those who has lost would have a taste of a horrible cup of Vodka with Oolong Tea Mixer! There was not any continuous drinking of Vodka, drinking every cup was in a interval of one game, and only the last 3 losers of the game would drink it. Unless you are really bad in playing the game, you would not have to drink after each round. Despite that, Ming Jie still can be damn drunk. I suggest he should not have touched it unless is a special occasion that is normal to have drunkards appearing.
After finishing the whole bottle of Vodka Shaun brought, we began to COMB Ming Jie! Haha. But it was only for a short while. We thought of going to McDonalds in the Downtown East since it is opened 24 Hours. However, we were wrong. The place is closed with the big 24 Hours poster sticking everywhere on the glass............... Thus, we took the hassle of walking to the one in White Sands. Everyone was tired after that, and everyone slept back in the chalet....
People who have been there should know that there is one big bed in the room, with 2 other single mattresses that can be pulled out from both sides.
So, the sleeping order was like this from the left:
(On the floor beside the left mattress) Potato;
(On the left single mattress) Alvin, Wee Khiang;
(On the big bed) Shaun, Me, Kai Yan, Meng Yong;
(On the right mattress) Ming Jie;
(On the floor beside the right mattress) Jiun Yan.
The people who were snoring heavily were Wee Khiang, Shaun and Kai Yan. Therefore, you could say that Alvin and I should have some difficult time to fall asleep... But our tiredness was still able to overcome those disturbances... It was around 3am when everyone fell asleep. The next morning, I felt damn cold and decided to wake up at 8.30am. At that time, Potato had already went back. After adjusting the air-con temperature, I went out for a morning stroll. I should have just eat breakfast alone, because when everyone was awoke and ready for it, was already 11am!!!
Jiun Yan was having lunch with his family, so he left. Then, we had our branch at Fish & Co. Express, and it was the first time for most of us dining in there. Most of us ordered Fish & Chips, but only Alvin ordered non-seafood stuff, and waited for the longest... It's Fried Chicken! And according to him, it did not taste good... Haha.
Meng Yong left for a short lunch with his friends. We went up to E!Hub to have Arcade Session. I sponsored $20 for us to play. We played shooting game, fighting game, puzzle game, sports game and racing game... Then, the last game we played was the newest Arcade game called Jukebox. That time, when I was playing Arcade the previous day, I saw one boy play that game and all he did was to press the buttons... I did not understand how fun was it back then. But now, after trying it, I finally understood. But it was way to hard for one person to play!!! It was one of the fun Arcade Session I had.
It was Tuesday! Hence, we went to have the Half-Priced Waffle in Gelare. Alvin met his friend who is working in that shop, and coincidentally, his friend is enrolling the same school and course as Wee Khiang! I wonder how his friend would think after they became friends and realised Wee Khiang is actually uncle in disguise! Haha. As usual, Kai Yan is having one waffle to himself!
Meng Yong came back, but all we did after that, was to rot in the chalet again. Wee Khiang, Alvin and Shaun left shortly, and the rest of us slept for a short 2 hours before going for dinner. We went back to chalet again, played cards, watched TV, and Meng Yong was about to leave. Most of the people left because they are having their Orientation Camps the next day. Since there is only the 3 of us left, and we see no point of staying till the next morning, so all 4 of us went back home together.
Normally, after a chalet session, I should have a happy feeling that I had a great time. But this time I did not have this kind of feeling. Why is it so?
It is not wrong to say because the event was not going as smoothly. It is not wrong to say because the chalet just ended on the second night. Most of them have come for it, I should be contended with that. They took the trouble to organise a Birthday Party for me before. But why I still expect more from them? Why I still feel that way? Sigh... I should be happy that we are moving forward...
Anyway, there is one last thing that was not fulfiled. That is a Dim Sum Buffet Session that was once discussed way before the chalet. It could be done on Potato's Birthday, which is on the day when the University term has already started. I wonder if it is possible to call them up...
Otherwise, it will be quite some time for CSC to gather again...
