Shockingly Overwhelmed!

Chapter 0: Mother's Day cum My Birthday Celebration
It was held on Saturday. My mother took all the troubled to cook a sumptuous dinner for me. The only things I could help out are cutting the ingredients for her, and bought the cake myself. I thought of having a normal cake, but most shops they will stop the production and would only make Mother's Day Cakes. Therefore, I ordered a Mother's Day Cake instead, and thought that it was a nice idea to celebrate both together. My brother bought Bleach and Naruto Illustration Books for me. My cute cousins bought me Famous Amos Cookies. So nice of them! And I have received many Angbaos from my relatives as well. Thanks for everything! Thanks, my great brother, my wonderful mum. Love you all, Always.

Chapter 1 An Ordinary Morning

It was just an ordinary day, or it seemed to be... I was working at Kumon as usual on Sunday morning. When the clock struck 1pm, Kai Yan went off quickly without waiting for me while I was still busying marking worksheets... Haha, then I remembered Wee Khiang wrote something on Meng Yong's Facebook Wall asking, "Tml meet wad time and where"... I guessed something is wrong, because it seemed to be a Navy outing but I was not called? Something fishy... (I made a guess that probably they are meeting out to get my present? Haha, I think so highly of myself!)

I continued to mark my work and quite eagered to meet Derek, Fang Qi and Luvena. Derek had a car to drive us around, so I was quite excited about going to somewhere to have lunch instead of always staying at Tampines for our outing meals... It was around 1.40pm when I knocked off from my work. I called Luvena to ask whether they are ready, and I was quite hoping that Derek can actually fetched me from Bedok. But our meeting time was 2.15pm at my house. Therefore, Luvena suggested that I could head home first... Then I was like... Ok...

Chapter 2 On the Journey to A Mysterious Place

I reached home and put down my iPod, then went out... Because I was asked to text Luvena when I got home, but her reply was, "Ok, then you can come down now." I was like Erm... Speechless... Haha. I met them at my house downstairs, then off we go! On the journey, I was playing with the plushy found inside Derek's car. Later, a few minutes after we have entered PIE, someone called Luvena. Then, in her conversation, she told the caller to call "Ming Jie". I was like, Eh? She also know a guy called Ming Jie?! Was the one I know? I didn't think much because I knew her job scope and the guy was probably one of the guys under her. And I didn't suspected that the atmosphere in the car was a bit tense... Fang Qi and I continued to act lame...

Finally, I saw some landmarks then soon it was clear that Derek was turning to Kallang Stadium carpark. Luvena then commented in a very natural tone to Derek, "You said that someone said there is a very nice restaurant over here right?" I exclaimed, "Yah, McDonalds Restaurant and KFC Restaurant!" And I really thought there are other restaurants other than those 2...

We got down the car and Luvena wanted to have Sundae. So, I got one for her while the other 2 went to the toilet. The next moment, Luvena said to go to the so-called restaurant, but I was thinking, without waiting for those 2? As I was brought closer and closer to the exact venue... I was utterly shocked... A Very Big "Happy Birthday Yi Shyang" was seen outside the McDonalds Party Room...

Chapter 3 Surprise!

The second shock was that when I looked into the glass door, I was expected to be emptied. However, I saw my Navy Batchboys (Alvin, Ming Jie, Kai Yan, Wee Khiang, Meng Yong, Darrell and Potato) too! And also Yvonne, Rong Teng and Sabrina. Too shocked, extremely shocked, surprisingly shocked. My first thought... Why McDonalds... Haha. =p

But after seeing my friends together in a single venue, my mind completely gone blank. The next moment was Yvonne rushing to me and asked me what are my feelings. I'm loss for words, and in fact, I'm really not good at expressing myself well. Never in my whole life will I think that the different gangs that I hanged out with, would come together and planned this whole thing... My other reactions: To ask around who planned the whole thing. When I asked myself who could actually alliance with each other. Ok, the different gangs from PRSS is not a big issue. The main issue is PRSS with Navy... How? After I ask myself this question, the answer is very obvious. The middleman has to be Alvin.

After sorting out that thoughts, I was so lost, and started to act strangely... Haha.

Chapter 4 Play Time, Children!

The McDonalds management has actually planned out the games for us. The first game: Pictionary. The whole group is split into 2, and it will quite obvious that Navy is a group while PRSS is the other. First, Ming Jie is picked by the crew to play. And their category is Cartoon Characters. I can't remember how much they scored, but Ming Jie couldn't drew something that is "guessable"... Next, is my group and I was called to draw...

My category is Yummy Food. I can't really draw well, so I just drew what I usually saw in hawker centres. Seriously, I'm not even sure I drew correctly, but my team can really guess correctly what I drew. I think I restricting myself to draw the exact same thing in real life. So for the last food, which was Carrot Cake. I did something different. The first thing that comes to my mind was the famous Fried Carrot Cake in White and Black. Both types are equally hard to draw. Then, I thought of drawing the "carrot" instead, then the "cake". Haha. I should have done that for chicken rice too...

The second round of Pictionary, Potato was sent to represent the Navy Team. The category for him was Singapore Landmarks. They did not score well again. Rong Teng represented PRSS Team next, and Romance was the category. It was too easy for us to guess. The answers were like Kiss, Hug, Holding Hands... Just stickmans were sufficient for us to guess. And my team got full marks again!!!

Next, the Musical Hula-Hoops, the game which has the same concept as the Musical Chairs. But there are only 2 hoops to fit all 14 people?! In the end, I was out, along with all the Navy Guys and Rong Teng, except Meng Yong. It doesn't matter if one person went into the hoop successfully, because the group with me in it is considered lose. So, the others are required to come up with a punishment. The girls then wanted us to make a human pyramid, with me on the top doing 21 push-ups... Ok... Done. However, this time, the crew wanted us to revenge!!! We have to think of something to punish them as well! Then, the punishment became like I was being punish?! The girls need to go around and find 21 people to wish me Happy Birthday... But I had to show my face... So embarrassing!!! That was also the time when Yi Sheng and Song Guan made their appearances.

After all the embarrassed moments, we can finally eat. Strangely, I did not find myself hungry... So I eat very slowly... Then, the cake appeared, we were then had a very fast cake and photo session, because the time to use the room was about to end... Haha. After that, I was showered so many unwanted stuff given by the McDonalds... Haha. The main gift was the Crumpler Bag. There was the second part to this event. Sadly, some have to go because that day was Mother's Day.

Chapter 5 The Great Taboo
We settled down in the Settler's Cafe in Clarke Quay. We were introduced to this game called "The Big Taboo". We were split into 3 groups: Fang Qi, Alvin and Kai Yan; Luvena, Wee Khiang and Ming Jie; Yvonne; Potato and me. It is a board game, the way to advance is to guess a set of 3 words using different methods: Drawing, saying, and using a plushy. It was very fun. Kai Yan was madly in love with the plushly because of its super long arms and legs, he enjoyed tangling it and making all sorts of ...uh... erm... funny actions. We spent a very nice 2 hours in the cafe.

Chapter 6 Last Stop: Chilling Out

It was still considered early after our Settler's Cafe activity and we decided to go for a drink, and Alvin has to make his leave first. We then walked to Raffles Place to send him off, and after a nice walk, we actually went back to Clarke Quay... We stopped at Starbucks at The Central. Over there, we had a chat like I told the girls how I first know my Batchboys before the 12 of us became coursemates. Also, how I first know the girls in PRSS before we became so close... Then, it became like a discussion among the 4 of us, while Kai Yan, Wee Khiang, Ming Jie and Potato began to talk among themselves... We had some momentarily silence... which I totally hated, but it is also unavoidable especially people just knew each other and have nothing common to talk about...

We went via MRT, Potato, Ming Jie and Wee Khiang have to take the different train since we are heading off to different directions. Now the people I'm with left, the girls and Kai Yan. I sat with Kai Yan, then the girls opposite us. Kai Yan started to play his PSP... So I played the game that I usually play with Song Guan and Yi Sheng when we are in MRT. Yes, similar to The Big Taboo. Haha. 比手划脚 without talking to let the girls guess what is the phase in my mind...

Aftermath Thoughts:
I have wished that if only my friends could actually meet out together and get acquainted. But I never expected that it will come true... I know it is definitely weird for people to do not know each other well to hang along... But I actually suggested that we could have a KBox session together... Hmm... Am I doing the right thing? Or let just let that day be special?

If I can recover from my shock quickly, I wouldn't have acted so strangely in the McDonalds... I have so much things to say to my friends... Once again, Thanks for them putting up such a surprise for me... I always think that I don't deserve such a Big Surprise... But really thanks for the effort. Thanks everyone!!!
