I was so bored at home, so I took the initiative to plan a gathering for my chatty friends. Haha, Alvin was saying like finally we have a gathering after such a long time. Everyone was happy to receive my message! At first, I thought of eating somewhere in the city, but Russell is broke, so we ended up eating in Tampines.
I went out early afternoon to meet up with Kai Yan first. I thought going Kelly Service in Tanjong Pagar. After all, it has been a month since we both went to the Tampines Branch, and we are not getting a single call from them!!! I heard Si Hui got a job pretty fast from International Plaza, so I decided to go for it. I only knew the office is located in the Plaza, but I can't remember which floor, and so I asked the security guards who told me is on 33rd storey, and I got another shock. Haha.
The lift went up so fast that my eardrums started to feel the rapid change of the altitude, like those when you are travelling on a plane. Anyway, we reached there, and the people gave us a form to fill. And it was much better than the Tampines Branch, which only gave us a piece of paper to fill our particulars. The people there asked which job we looking for, what kind of job we have done and even asked us to fill again in their computer database. I can say it is far better than the Tampines Branch. I think I will have a much better chance of getting a job. Kai Yan, who does not has any job experience other than teaching piano, thinks that he stands a lower chance getting a job. Haha.
We went back after that, and down back to the first storey, I saw my BMT buddy, Choon Kiat, who seemed to be lost. I approached and he is finding the Kelly Service too! Haha.
I went back to Tampines at 3pm to meet up with Yi Sheng. We both came out early to hope we can buy something for Pok Yen, who is holding his birthday party this Sunday. But then, we still can't think of any... Then, Wilson called me. He told me he could only meet up with us on 6.30pm... Because he can't finish his work, and he feels that he is getting fatter and needs to workout. Ok. I'm like totally speechless. At least, he called slightly earlier than calling to me on the meeting time. I texted him to meet at 5.15pm, while others at 5.30pm. Haha, because we all knew how bad he is at punctuality. Look's like I should put it 1 hour earlier for him next time. But we still went on meeting up with the others.
We met up Alvin, Joel and Russell at Tampines Mall Entrance. I suggested going Ajisen which I think is a slightly cheaper restaurant. But Russell was terribly broke, so we went to Food Court and we wanted to see how Wilson will react. (Ok, I saw my BMT buddy there again...) In the end, we didn't order anything, just sitting there and chat all the way until 6.30pm. Wilson called Russell, and he said in the phone that he strongly objected going to Food Court. OK, expected. Yi Sheng suggested going to Pizza Hut for the $6.90 Smart Choice, but the queue was terribly long. Wilson then arrived and was shocked to see us queuing at there. He said he rather going McDonalds. Haha. He also said that he has been eating Pizza for the past 2 days. Ok, so we ended up in the Taiwanese Food in Century Square. And guess what he ordered? Chicken Cutlet. And dessert? We went to McDonalds and he had McFlurry Mudpie. Ok, Nice Workout for him. We were all speechless. It was so funny when Alvin tried to argue how bad Wilson's excuses were. Alvin won most of the times. Haha.
We could chat endlessly until 9.30pm, when Joel needed to go back as he is working early in the morning the next day. We continued for a while and landed ourselves in the Arcade. We played Photo Hunt and a cute game involves throwing small plastic balls. I threw so hard that my elbow hurts for so long...
We decided to went back after that, we got some drinks at the Cheers, and... We actually stood there for an hour chatting endlessly!!! So nice catching up with them!!! Haha. We planning to meet up again probaably next week when Tampines One opens!!!
